Empowering People, Transforming Communities

Equipping to thrive…

What is our purpose that excites us every morning we wake? To serve the “least of these” by multiplying our God-given talents and resources for community transformation. (Matthew 25:14-45)

The ISC is a non-profit, non-government organization focused on community development and humanitarian assistance, helping the most “under-served” people groups learn how to live an abundant life.

Our mission is to empower people for community transformation by providing education, resources,, and opportunities to serve, concentrating on the “least resourced” demographics .

Project Focus Areas

Our volunteers have a heart to serve by passing on their gifts and talents to those who are seeking to develop themselves for a brighter future. We exist to support existing local initiatives, not replace them. Therefore, we provide supplemental education, community healthcare, and humanitarian assistance, shoulder-to-shoulder with leaders already working in public service.

Mobilizing Communities to Serve

Serving one another in love - it’s at the heart of what we do. We value capacity building and desire to see those enduring the most challenging of situations to thrive, fulfilling their dignified purpose in life. We hope our efforts show that we are extending a “hand up, rather than a hand out.” Though our services come at zero monetary cost to participants, we ask just one thing. That whoever receives any benefits from the ISC’s efforts would in turn, pass it on to others. This is done by volunteering with our teams to conduct street clean-ups, feeding programs, reading with children, helping distribute food supplements, and many more exciting opportunities to give back to your community.

Special Projects

As a community development organization, we conduct projects with long-term and sustainable solutions in mind. Building playgrounds is an innovative way to support neighborhoods and schools, as pictured here in this crowded mega-city (the playground wasn’t even complete when these out-of-school youth inundated the work site!). But sometimes we have to engage in humanitarian aid after a major calamity like a typhoon, earthquake, or pandemic. In that case, the ISC is grateful to help in relief operations, food distribution, house building, and rescue efforts.

“"The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members."

— Coretta Scott King - author, activist, civil rights leader
